welcome home, Chef!

Last Sunday, Josh and I adopted Chef from the Carson Animal Shelter.  When we first met him, he was skinny and not eating much, but in the past week, he's really perked up and warmed up to his new family.  He loves blankets, likes to lay around and watch TV with us, barks at intimidating strangers (like the pizza guy), and is a lot less work than I had imagined.  In fact, the hardest part of having a dog was getting the courage to tell my mom about it, hahaha!
Why the name Chef?  Well, one of our favorite Korean dramas is called "Pasta," and the main character is referred to as simply Chef.  He's a bold bad-ass, and we were trying to think of one syllable names.  Chef was the perfect fit!

When we got him from the shelter, the lead volunteer gave us some supplies like a can of food, a fleece blanket, a little vest!  He looks like Sherlock Holmes in it!

He's a dachshund mix (most likely with chihuahua), and he's two years old.  In about three days, he learned the "sit" command, and we're going to teach him more tricks soon.
