belated post: life lessons from my 69-year-old writing 340 professer on the last day of class

- When you hit your 50's, you will have the time of your life.  But once you are in your 60's, you'll start feeling old
- Don't obsess over having a career.  Take the work as it comes to you.
- Be satisfied with the money you have.  You may think that more money will make your life better, but after a while, your desire for money plateaus and you'll feel empty.
- No matter what, there will be days when you don't like your job and days when you love it.  You may  never find your dream job, but you can learn to be happy with what you have.
- Surround yourself with people you admire especially in the workplace.  Sometimes you'll end up spending more time at work than at home, and sooner or later, you start to become like your co-workers.
- Don't spend too much time at work.  Make time for friends and family.
- Facebook is evil.
Awkward picture he e-mailed to us while grading papers.
