poached chicken with jade vegetables

Appetizer: Minced ham and tofu soup.  Classic comfort food.
 
Prepping the chicken (after I de-boned a whole chicken!) with the ham and Chinese veggies.
Smothered in gravy!!
More gravy!  More cowbell!  More gravy!! GRAVYYY!!

This dish tastes amazing with rice.  It has a fancy and elegant name in Chinese so although it might not seem that impressive in pictures, it is so good that I could eat it for a week and not get tired of it.  In fact, I ate two big bowls of it for dinner and an ever bigger bowl of it for lunch the next day!
